Lancaster’s Newest Coffee Shop: Perkup & Co.
Lancaster’s newest coffee shop, Perkup & Co. is slated to open in late Spring on the 300 block of North Queen Street! Only steps away from The Keppel Building, Perkp & Co. makes getting your morning cup of coffee or a quick bite to eat a breeze!
Perkup is an exciting partnership between The Candy Factory, The Mix at Arbor Place, and coLab Lancaster. By working closely together, these organizations have created a new workplace program—called Groe—for city youth. The program gives them an opportunity to learn important business and customer service skills, as well as the confidence to thrive. Students enrolled in the program will also be given invaluable hands-on experience relating to business development and management for their future.
What makes Perkup & Co. extra special is a commitment to the community and environment—keeping their carbon footprint as small as possible, while helping fund community programs throughout Lancaster County.
Perkup & Co. will feature coffee, sweet treats, and delicious, quick lunches with an option for pre-ordering. The cafe will serve food items and ingredients from local businesses, including partnerships with Harrisburg’s Little Amps Coffee, Pureblend Tea, Nuts About Granola, Odd Pies, and Doorstep Dairy.
“We are giving our students an opportunity to break the ever-growing cycle of unemployment,” says Luis Torres, Executive Director of The Mix at Arbor Place. “It is our mission to prepare today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders.”
